I can't believe this ... I only JUST discovered a series of Royal Doulton plates called Brambly Hedge. I happened to notice some beautifully made mosaics which featured some of these plates. How GORGEOUS !!! On further investigation I found they are the work of English artist
Jill Barklem.
Her illustrations are so beautiful and the attention to detail in her plates (cups, saucers, books and
EVERYTHING) is exquisite. All her work seems to be inspired by the English Countryside which gives that cozy, nostalgic feeling for young and old. ... I can't wait to get my hands on one of her books for our children to read so we can all drool over the work of this wonderful artist.
