what i've been up to lately ...

it's been a busy week ...

i finished 2 more shabby chic mosaic pots the other day that i'm super proud of ...
ahhh Paris ...

my 'bouquet' pot ..

then i've been helping with the mustering here this week inbetween homeschooling.  we live on a remote cattle property and when we muster our "Woods" paddock, someone needs to drive a vehicle very slowly in the 'lead' so the cattle follow me, while the men zoom around on motorbikes keeping them all together in a mob behind me.  eventually they make it back to our house 'cattle yards' where the men work them...

our jack russell 'Disco' didn't want to be left behind...

coming over the first channel ...

... manpower !

staying in a mob ... sort of ...

quite a far cry from what my 'etsy' and 'madeit' stores look like huh???

... looking better now!

... up close and personal ...

... and it's always cute to see the calves with their mums... awww

...  all part of living out here and great for the kids to get out and help dad and the men to do what they love the best ...  but alas ... back to school tomorrow!!!

~  enjoy your week ~

home sweet home ...

yes... it WAS the Atherton Tablelands ~ an area that has long been a favourite destination of ours.

It's a beautiful area in North Queensland, rains a lot ~ (which we actually don't mind) ~ has a nice slow pace ~ and loads of tourist attractions that are perfect for families.

So nice to be home though ...   Just wanted to share a few of my favourite snaps.

our room with a view ...

little town of Tolga ...

vintage phone display at Peeramon Hotel - love it!

exquisite orchids growing in the street! in Yungaburra ... so unfair!

the name says it all ...

Herberton Historic Village

Our boys fooling around at Malanda - the home of north Queensland milk!

gorgeous succulents growing here...

... and again ...

.. our little Disco, enjoying the view from the rented Troup Carrier ...

... last but not least ... the divine Gallo Chocolate Factory ... yummm....

~  make every day count  ~
