black and white umbrella exhibition

... so who says it takes me forever to blog about something ???  I found an invitation the other day from LAST year's Umbrella Exhibition and remembered I did attend and took some amazing photos ...  I'm a member of the Umbrella Studio (in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia) and last year was my first year I finally entered a piece of 'fine art' for their members exhibition.

My plan is to enter something each year in the Members Exhibition and slowly work my way back into more fine art (drawings/watercolours etc) as well as enjoying my mosaics and sewing.

Here's just some of the fantastic work that was on display last year!

... we have an awesome view when we stay in Townsville ... there's the 'sugar shaker' ...

... and there's Castle Hill !

... and here's the famous Umbrella Studio !

... enjoy the member's exhibition ... (well some of them anyway) ...

... yours truly ...

hope you enjoyed the exhibition and this year - there were so many fabulous artworks and it was great to be part of an exhibition again.  This year's theme for the exhibition is "Nature" and this time, I promise to get our members' work up here sooner than I did for this one !
