shabby credit card pouches

A couple of weeks ago - I decided to make some credit card/business card pouches for my Etsy and Madeit Stores.  I enjoyed doing them so much, I have now become obsessed with making ipod cases/pouches!

Is it just me or does everyone get carried away with new ideas???  I seem to get an idea for a new product and then want to make heaps of them.  Eventually, I become inspired elsewhere and start on something else.  Never a dull moment...

luciles kitchen - inspiration

I think I first discovered luciles kitchen in an treasury on Etsy.

If you haven't had the good fortune of knowing this Etsy store, well ...  I'll enlighten you ...
First of all Lucile is French, draws food (mostly) and illustrates/paints in different mediums incorporating text in her work.  I just love her pencil/watercolours!

I was instantly  taken by Lucile's work and bought a print for my birthday this year.  It now takes pride of place in my studio where it inspires me daily.

New Ideas For The Store

Always been obsessed with paper products, so now going to stock a few myself...

I'm starting with notecards - perfect for scrapbooking, cardmaking, journalling... and will be listing more over the next couple of weeks.

... so today I was featured in a treasury on Etsy - (which is always a great surprise and honour), and then someone discovered my pots on Facebook and have asked me for a custom listing!

Wow ... it doesn't get much better than that.

Life's good.  Do what you love and nice things will happen.

sepia stamping

Have bought myself some stamps and having fun with them.


These are done on cotton sateen (which I tea dyed first) - and I have lots of other stamps as well, so keep checking my Etsy for more listings soon ...  Custom orders welcome. Great for making sachets, embellishments for journals, altered art, scrapbooking, even clothing - the list is endless.


Don't know about you, but I can't get enough of sepia, roses, text and Paris...

~ Commission Pieces ~

So anyone who has seen my facebook page lately, you may have noticed that I have been working on some commission pots for a bridal shower. 

I felt so priveliged to be asked  and loved every minute of making them.

I'm off to the shower on Sunday afternoon which will be a lovely 'ladies' day out... just not looking forward to the 320km round trip ...

However ... I will be on my own so won't have to listen to 'The Wiggles' or 'Playschool' in the car ... ever grateful for small mercies...
